Gunman shoots up Tempe City Bus
Man who fired gun sought by Tempe police TEMPE - Police are looking for a man who shot more than a dozen rounds into a busy intersection, striking a city bus and at least two vehicles. There were no known injuries, Sgt. Dan Masters said. The man was walking on the northwest corner of Priest Drive and Southern Avenue about 4:30 p.m. when he got into a quarrel with a motorist and shot into the vehicle. He fled on foot and, according to one witness, ran into a nearby townhouse. Some of the rounds shattered the windshield of a city bus and entered another car. No one was riding the bus, and the bus driver, who witnessed the quarrel, crouched on the floor when he saw the gun, Masters said. |
